MAXXESS Systems announces new powerful controllers
Added Mercury offerings enhance MAXXESS open platform leadership position
Anaheim, Ca— February 17, 2010—MAXXESS Systems announced today that they will unveil more new powerful controller configurations at the 2010 ISC show. These configurations are part of the company’s goal to provide the ultimate non-proprietary, open security system architecture.
The first of the new controller configurations integrates Mercury-based hardware with the emerging wireless door lock technologies. It seamlessly brings door control and access control together, allowing general system management of both applications with MAXXESS eAXxess and eFusion software.
The second configuration is a fully intelligent controller; powered over Ethernet (PoE) capable supporting a sub-controller network of up to 17 doors over IP and /or RS485. This flexible connectivity will provide MAXXESS customers with the rich Mercury feature set regardless of the system size.
Nancy Islas, President of MAXXESS Systems stated, “We teamed with Mercury on these configurations because they are the industry leader in OEM access control hardware and they share our desire to provide customers with open access solutions. Mercury and MAXXESS are continuing to promote the open access philosophy by embracing the emerging wireless technologies. These wireless offerings are now available from locking hardware suppliers like Ingersoll Rand and Assa Abloy.”
