Bracknell, Berkshire, England – May 20, 2009 - MAXxess Systems Europe Ltd. today announced the appointment of Peter Currie to the position of UK Sales Manager. At the same time the company announced that Warren Collins has been promoted to EMEA technical projects manager.
With over 20 years of experience in the electronic security industry, Currie has held senior leadership positions at some of the top firms in the UK.
Currie most recently served as Sales Manager with Vigilant Technology.
Prior to Vigilant, Currie was UK and Ireland Sales Manager for Videotec.
“Peter’s extensive knowledge of access control and CCTV systems will be extremely valuable to us as we seek to grow our network of installers and systems integrators throughout the UK.” said Lee Copland, the managing director of Maxxess Systems (EMEA).
Copland continued, “Currie is a well-known and respected professional salesperson who has joined Maxxess just at the right time. We’re delighted to have Peter on our team and, judging by the interest shown at IFSEC in our range of security system integration solutions, he’s going to be extremely busy over the coming months.”
With respect to Warren Collins’ promotion, Copland said: “Warren has been a valued member of our team for the last four years, and his promotion is well deserved. His specialist knowledge of access control and integrated security management systems, acquired while working within the electronic security industry for over 17 years, will be of major benefit as we seek to assist consultants, installers and system integrators who are involved in large or complex projects.”
Prior to working for MAXxess, Collins worked at Nedap as the UK Technical support and Projects Engineer. Before Nedap, he worked for various integrators in the security industry and consequently developed a strong understanding of integrator needs.
The two appointments will allow the EMEA office to better serve its expanding business base.
