YORBA LINDA, Calif., April 24, 2018 –
Ambit, the combined safety, emergency and operations management system, has continued to grow as more uses of the system have been recorded. Maxxess has decided to introduce Ambit for Education as a more focused solution for School Districts, Universities, Private Schools, and more.
For a long time, school security has been reactive but with technological developments and solutions like ambit, schools can now be proactive when it comes to their people’s safety. There are many systems that handle one aspect of communication like a mass texting tool or a visitor management solution. Ambit transforms the way schools operate on a day to day basis as well as how handle emergencies.
During an active shooter scenario, Ambit’s Broadcast feature activates a mass notification that can be sent to all users of the system organization, by site, by department or even to select users. With two-way messaging capabilities, status updates can be received by all mobile users. This allows schools to gain the intel they need to quickly monitor staff status, communicate with staff members in an organized interface, and help first responders act efficiently. A geo-tag is placed on a map that corresponds with each mobile user’s location as they respond to the Broadcast sent. Geo-location technology helps schools understand who is messaging from where and what can the school do to help them? In some cases, the responders can help. Any administrator tasked with watching over the safety of students, teachers and staff in an open environment can gain an advantage through Ambit.
The safety of your people is not just a concern during emergencies. A teacher or student is walking to their car at night after a long soccer practice. They feel unsafe because someone they can’t identify is nearby. They don’t feel it is a serious enough situation to call the police, so they activate a Monitor session through the Ambit app which then alerts security on both their mobile device and the Ambit dashboard that someone has requested to be monitored. A real-time chat session can be initiated while continuously pinging the user’s location every ten seconds to provide complete situational awareness. Administrators, teachers, staff, and students gain a sense of empowerment through Ambit’s mobile app. Mobile user’s may report incidents through the Eye-Witness feature, such as bullying, mental health concerns, or property damage. Again, notifying the dashboard and a designated person’s mobile device.
For day-to-day use, Ambit can replace or integrate your ticketing system. Mobile users can request IT support, operations, service calls and more through the app. On top of that, all mobile staff can use the Check-in feature to keep attendance when travelling for required trainings or making deliveries. The Check-in feature provides a geo-tag of the mobile user to confirm arrival at their destination. Ambit improves the management and protection of lone and off-hour workers.
Ambit offers an array of convenient features. It is in the cloud, so it requires no software, hardware, or servers. The communication platform is private and managed. The mobile app is free to download, and registration is quick. Information is logged in the system to be used later for compliance and audit purposes.
Ambit is a more effective, cost-effective safety, emergency and operations management system. It provides faster and more accurate reporting with two-way private communications. The system utilizes Geo-location of users on an as-needed basis.
Yesterday your school was reactive. Maxxess can help you become proactive today.
